Welcome to Rosehill House a residential care home with a relaxed homely atmosphere & excellent care facilities.

Rosehill House is situated outside the small village of Moresby which is approximately 2 miles from the town of Whitehaven. It's a late 18th century grade 2* listed bulding set in its own mature grounds which extend to more than 3 acres. The home has been family run since it was established in 1983.

Enjoying a long lasting reputation for caring for the elderly, our accent is on preserving privacy and dignity, whilst providing relaxed freedom and the very best of everything for our residents.

Rosehill House prides itself on the unique homely atmosphere and special emphasis is placed on individual happiness. The light atmosphere can be felt upon entering the home along with a warm welcome.

We currently have 18 bedrooms and in total can take 23 residents at any one time. All rooms come equipped with en-suite toilet and wash hand basin while some have an en suite wet room. Residents can bring own furniture if they wish otherwise all furniture is provided for arrival. Residents are encouraged to make the room their own by bringing photos etc including bedding. Pet are accepted by arrangement with the owner. All rooms are individually thermo-statically controlled.

Through the house we have a communal bathroom and a communal shower room and also four toilets available for residents use.

We have 24 staff all of whom hold a NVQ level 2 in health & social care while many of these are now at level 3. The manager and deputy are both trained to level 4. We have excellent staff retention We currently have two apprenticeships who are young girls doing their NVQ and these together with our permanent staff are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week for the individual needs of our residents.
